Question

Does anybody have the clothes press? Is it as beautiful as it looks? What does it look like inside? Does anybody have a picture of the dresser when it's opened? Does it have shelves inside? If it does, how many? I am just trying to picture it.

I just bought a jewelry "dresser" at Bombay that looks a lot like Felicity's clothes press. They have it on sale for 75 dollars. It used to be 150 dollars but they have it clearanced for 50% off.

I am not sure I am going to keep it especially with the Felicity movie coming out again. What if they re-release the clothes press? I would be stuck with the Bombay one, although it is pretty beautiful.

    Thanks Felicity+Addyfan!

Wow! The AG clothes press is beautiful! This makes it even more difficult on whether I should keep the bombay one or not. I wonder if AG would relaunch the clothes press after the Felicity movie. Ahhh!! Decisions!! But I bet it would cost quite a bit to get the AG one. Maybe I will just keep the one I have no matter what.

I just bought the Bombay one 50% off today too!!! I think it's a great buy--it's deeper and wider than the AG one, and I'm going to put in a rod across the top so I can hang Felicity's dresses, which is what the AG clothes press couldn't do. Also the bottom drawer is big enough to keep straw hats and three-cornered hats. I'll post pics when I'm through transforming it.

Congrats to both of you that got the Bombay replica. I think it is really cute and pretty close to the original. I told my Mom about it and I'm hoping she might get it for me.
AG*Dancer, please do post pictures of yours when you are done transforming it.

I figured I'd sacrifice historical accuracy for this once, though, because I think the AG outfits will stay nicer in the long run if they're hung up. Besides, Felicity won't see the hangers inside if the doors are closed!

That is true, AGDancer, lol. I'm just a stickler for historical accuracy! I'd love to have Felicity's real clothes press sometime. Right now I just have an unfinished one that I bought at Hobby Lobby and I'm going to stain it.

    Laurie- I wish, lol!

I have the real one... which is a sad story in itself and I adore it. The bombay one is a good replication of it, though as I have considered buying the bombay one for DD.

Having said that, the real one is not terribly well made, some particle board and soft wood and the glues used to hold it together have deteriorated. Mine had to be re-built and it was stored properly. Such is life.

I love mine and it holds all of her wardrobe except the hats.
